RouteView 360 puts SphereVision on the map at INTERGEO

SphereVision presented its latest 360° Video Mapping tools at Intergeo in Essen 8th to 10th October. Intergeo is the world’s leading conference & trade fair for geodesy, geo-info and land management and demonstrations of SphereVision’s latest VideoMap 360 and RouteView 360 software solutions were in great demand. Visitors could immediately see how easy it was to explore remote locations by web or on a mobile devices and just how the integration of 360 video with high resolution 360 imagery gave users the ability to explore areas in detail.  SphereVision demonstrated how visitors could click on hotspots and links and open up additional rich media and other information to gain an in depth awareness of any site.

Also on display were the latest in portable 360 video systems that can easily be used to record real-world environments to capture every aspect of the scene in every direction. 360 degree video was presented to hundreds of visitors using MAC & Windows, on laptops and on mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads. SphereVision’s 360 web mapping applications were also highlighted using the wireless network at the show. Visitors were able to explore many different environments, moving through them and looking around just as if they were there. 

Other points of interest at the show included the Pointfuse stand, where Arithmetica gave constant demonstrations of their new game changing software service that rapidly converts terrestrial or mobile collected Point Cloud data into a 3D vector models. The software was seen by many as one of the highlights of the show and caused quite a stir with visitors quickly returning to the stand with samples of their point cloud data which was quickly converted into 3D vector models whilst they waited!  For more information on the new Pointfuse service see www.pointfuse.com
